Revving the “Adopt the .ng” crusade

On Wednesday, 7th September 2016, in continuation of our "adopt the .ng crusade", I led the NIRA team to a strategic meeting with “One Africa Media”, the operators of Africa’s largest portfolio of online marketplaces, focusing on Jobs, Cars, Property and Travel. They Serve markets with over 400 million Africans, operate in the world’s fastest growing economies and Internet markets, while connecting buyers, sellers, employers and jobseekers.  Definitely with its large database and outreach, “One Africa Media” is a strategic partner for promoting the .ng brand, online business, wealth creation and youth employment



Registration for AFRINIC-25 is open
AFRINIC holds two open public policy meetings every year in its service region, in various locations throughout Africa. AFRINIC meetings provide a unique opportunity for Internet-related individuals and organizations to gather and discuss the policies governing Internet number resource distribution in the African region, to share technical knowledge, and to attend workshops and tutorials. There are public discussions during the AFRINIC meetings. AFRINIC-25 is scheduled for 25th to 30th November 2016 at Mauritius.


The Plan of the Nigerian Pavilion at the GITEX 2016 event had been released and the website to also manage most of the Nigerian activities of the event had also been launched! . Interested participants can register on the website.
Domain Names Registration Statistics for June, July and August 2016 
We continue to witness steady improvement in Domain Name Registrations and Renewals in the registry. For example, the domain names registered in August 2016 is more than double the registrations in August 2014 and far more than the registration in August 2015.
