2018 NIRA Awards, Thank you all.

The 2018 edition of the .ng Awards that held on Friday 6th July 2018 has come and gone and it is my duty to thank everyone that contributed to the success of the Awards.

The night, which is the third edition of the .ng Awards was a blast, enjoyed by all. The ladies and gentlemen who graced the occasion were smartly adorned. It was a night filled with excitement and fun.

We are grateful to God and to everyone that contributed to the success of the night, especially those who actively participated by nominating their brand of choice, and subsequently voting to ensure they won.

ICANN63 in Barcelona

ICANN returns to Europe, to the wonderful city of Barcelona for the ICANN63 Annual General Meeting, which holds from 20th to 25th October 2018. This year's meeting is important, as the first two days will coincide with the High-Level Government Meeting (HLGM) hosted by the Governmental Advisory Committee (GAC).

ECHOS OF THE 2018 NiRA .ng AWARDS

NiRA successfully held the third edition of the Annual .ng recognition and Awards ceremony on Friday, 6th July 2018 at the Celebration Garden and Event Centre, 28B Isaac John Street, GRA, Ikeja. Lagos. 

The .ng Awards seeks to promote and commend the excellent achievements of  NiRA members, Stakeholders and the General Public, who tirelessly contribute towards building a Sustainable Economy using Technology, uplift the image of .ng locally and internationally and stimulating the development and consumption of local content on the Internet space.

NiRA at Nigeria Computer Society (NCS)

The 2018 National Conference of the Nigeria Computer Society held from the 17th   to the 19th of July 2018 at The International Conference Centre, University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria. The Theme for this year’s event is  Digital Inclusion: Opportunities, Challenges and Strategies

The conference addressed the practical realities and needs, best practices, emerging issues, innovation, stakeholder roles and future sustainability. The NCS realizes that Digital inclusion is particularly important as the urgent need to diversify the economy away from dependence on oil and improve economic performance becomes more important.

ICANN 63: Barcelona, Spain

Registration is open for the ICANN63 Annual General in Barcelona, Spain. The Public Meeting will take place from 20th to 25th October 2018 at the Centre de Convencions Internacional de Barcelona (CCIB). Look forward to seeing you at the Annual General in Barcelona.

NgNog
Date: 29th October to 3rd November 2018
Venue: Lagos
Day 1- The 2018 Conference theme is "Internet Peering and Interconnection"  which will enable high-value engagement between policy-makers, service providers, Internet Exchange Point operators, infrastructure and data centre providers, transit providers, Research and Education Networks, technology innovators and major Internet service consumers such as higher education institutions.
 
Days 2 - 5 is the annual ngNOG capacity-building workshops (running in parallel tracks) for technical hands-on details with network engineers, content managers and developers.
