PTSA Board Positions - Join Our Exec Board!
Thank you to everyone who attended the last PSTA meeting. In addition to regular board business and a student led presentation, we elected a Nominating Committee to fill our 4 open board positions for the 2019/2020 school year. Open positions include:
  • Co-Presidents
  • 5th VP – Volunteers
  • 6th VP – Fundraising
  • Parliamentarian
If you are interested in learning more, serving on the Executive Board or would like to nominate someone, please check out our open positions and job descriptions and reach out to Lisa Jadon.

Robinson Events & News

Kindergarten & TK Registration
Kindergarten and TK registration has begun.  If you have a little one who will be five by September 1, 2019, they are eligible for Kindergarten.  If they will be five between September 2 and December 2, 2019, they are eligible for Transitional Kindergarten.  Please give Nadine a call in our front office if you have any questions about the registration process. 
3/11: Parent Education Night with Cyber Cop, @ 6:30-8:30PM, Pacific Elementary School
The Cyber Cop will come to talk to parents about “Parenting in the Digital World.” This event is for adults only and the content will be targeted towards 4th/5th grade parents, however, any MBUSD parent is welcome to attend. Click here to register.

3/13: After School Beach Clean-Up with Grades of Green & Heal the Bay, @ 1:30 - 3PM, 4th Street
Robinson has partnered with Heal the Bay to adopt 4th Street Beach.  Come out after school on Wednesday, 3/13 to help clean it up.  Students should plan to meet at the flag pole right after school and we will walk down to 4th Street Beach as a group and help clean the beach.  Trash bags will be provided.  Pick up is 3 PM at 4th Street and The Strand.   A sign-up genius will be available for sign-ups soon. 
All participants must bring a completed waiver of liability on the day of the clean up. 
3/16: Family Fun Run @ 8AM, Robinson Blacktop
Lace up your sneakers... and click here to sign up for the 19th Annual Family Fun Run. Bring the whole family and invite a friend - this event is open to students, siblings, parents, grandparents, and the Robinson community!! Not a runner? We still need you! We are looking for volunteers to staff the race course and cheer on our runners. Please contact Kristy Caldwell.

2/26: Special Education Advisory Council Meeting - All Welcome @ 9-10:30 AM, MBUSD Office
All parents are welcome to join the Special Education Advisory Council this month from 9-10:30 am at the MBUSD Offices, 325 S. Peck. Small groups will work on a final review and feedback of the Special Education Handbook and the creation of a student services flyer. Questions? 3/2: MB PARKS & REC – SUMMER CAMP EXPO

3/9: Gelson's Gives Back – Support our Schools
Join MBEF at Gelson’s Market on Saturday, March 9th for a celebration of our community! Your groceries will mean dollars for our schools – Gelson’s is donating 5% of every purchase to the Manhattan Beach Education Foundation! The day will be filled with music from our school bands, tips on healthy family meals from Gelson's exclusive Registered Dietician, food sampling, activities for the kids, and wine tasting in the afternoon.
