At the end of the year we are going to have a drawing for $500.00 cash.  To enter the drawing all you have to do is donate some time working at the rifle and pistol ranges as a range host. Each 2 hours you donate entitles you to a ticket for the drawing. The more time you donate the more chances you will have to win!

We have been doing some needed repairs and upgrades to the club facilities. John Marrs has been doing some clean up and repairs on the LE ranges. The archery range cover is complete, it was designed and built by a member’s grandson. The project was done to complete his Eagle Scout merit badge. The hood and fan assembly on the barbecue was in need of replacement, which has been completed. We also replaced the lid on one of the trap houses, we will be replacing the other three in the future.

Effective October 1, 2014 the front gate will no longer be open on Wednesday afternoons and Sunday mornings. Non-members that want to come in and shoot trap and skeet will either need to come in as a guest of a member or join the club. The gate will also be closed during other club events.
On the third Saturday of each month (weather permitting) we will hold a beginning archery class from 9am to 10:30. So if you have ever wanted to try the sport, please join us, if you do not have a bow we have 12 Genesis Bows that we can fit to most new shooters to get you started and a good supply of target arrows, thanks to a grant from the National Wild Turkey
Federation.
September 4th we will start the junior shotgun fall session. Classes will be every Thursday from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Cost is $35.00 per student or $70.00 per family, this helps pay for targets and ammunition. We also have received grants from the NRA to help defray the cost.
We took a squad of junior shooters to the California State Shoot SCTP finals. It was a great experience for the shooters and one of our shooters won third place in his class.
