May / June 2012 Newsletter

The Board of Directors has had a busy couple of months. There has been changes made in the SOP’s and range rules, everyone should go on line and read them, the changes have been made for every ones safety. We have also added signs at the rifle and pistol ranges, these should also be checked and followed. There are red lights at the rifle and pistol ranges that are to be used when someone is down range, even if you are the only one at the range you still need to use the lights. The pistol range target boards have also been changed and the rules for using the pistol range have also been changed in the range rules, read them carefully.
We have also installed a security and surveillance camera system at the rifle and pistol ranges.
We are almost done installing a back wall to the rifle and pistol range bench cover. There are openings on the ends and in the middle to walk through. We are also going to paint the roof with hopes to deaden the noise from shooting. There are also trees being planted on the perimeter fence replacing the dead trees that have been removed.
We are always looking for volunteer help, we have started a list of people that have volunteered and will send out notices through e-mail. If you would like to add your name to the list send us an e-mail to slsaboard@gmail.com
