The Permaculture Way with Graham Bell

27 - 28 July 2013

Post - Permaculture Design Course

10am - 5pm

Venue: Still to be confirmed (but likely to be in Grahams Forest Garden in Coldstream)

Advanced permaculture life lessons:
Weekend course, which is part of our ongoing programme of Post PDC courses

These two days will delve deeper into what it means to live our lives in a 'permaculture way', learning from someone who has studied, designed, taught and learned from nature & permaculture for over twenty five years. Graham Bell will share with us his knowledge, his ideas, his learning, his reflections and his understanding of permacutlure from his unique perspective.

Two days of  focused, reflective discussions (learning from experience) which will also be interactive, practical and theoretical as we learn from and with Graham Bell about his experiences of designing his life/work & forest garden using permaculture principles and ethics.

An opportunity to ask questions, deepen our understanding, discover our own 'answers' and all the while practising our designs. We will be learning together and seeing how we can incorporate a permaculture way to all aspects of our lives.  There will also be an opportunity for students to bring along and share their own designs, receive feedback and apply further learning to enhance the design.

A permaculture design can be used for land, people or community project and having your own land or garden is not a requirement of attending the course.

Are these courses for you?

If you have:

Already completed a full Permaculture Design Course here in the UK or anywhere else in the world;

Or you are someone who  has lots of experience in permaculture practise, and you would like to share, whilst also learning from your peers.....

Enroled for the Diploma in Applied Permaculture either on the supported or independent route;

Been working on or want to begin a design  for your Diploma portfolio (and get some support)

Or you have been thinking of starting the Diploma but feeling like it might be a lonely road;

Finished your Permaculture Design Course but still not feeling confident about how to begin a design ...

Then these courses could be for you.

Graham Bell, author of The Permaculture Way and the Permaculture Garden, lives in Coldstream in the Scottish Borders. Along with his partner Nancy he has cultivated and nurtured a forest garden, which is the longest established of it's kind in Scotland. The forest garden is a land learning site for permaculture students and specialists alike.

Graham now works largely in regeneration and community development at a strategic level but has many years experience in teaching and guiding students on the permaculture learning path.

His teaching methods utilise various tools and are intent on involving the students fully in the learning process and encouraging them to find their inner wisdom. He has been involved with Permaculture thinking and projects for over 27 years. Following on from teaching his first PDC in many years Graham is now keen to share his accumulated experience, and support permaculture students who wish to build on their existing knowledge.
