A Letter from the President

Hello BGWN,
Can you believe we start our fall semester in one week?!  Time seems to be flying by, even in this new work from home environment.  I hope everyone is doing well, staying healthy, and getting mentally prepared for the new year.  I wanted to share some upcoming BGWN and Bauer events that may be of interest to you.

BGWN will be hosting a "Get to know BGWN Coffee Chat" on September 3rd at 5:00 pm.  Grab your favorite drink and come meet the officers.  Ask us any questions you may have about our organization and share your expectations from BGWN.  The event will be posted to Campus Groups soon, and you can RSVP there!

Next, we will be holding elections in the fall for vacant officer positions.  This will offer you the opportunity to gain leadership experience, enjoy the comradery with the group, and have some fun!  All officers need to be BGWN members.  Positions we will be looking to fill are EVP, EVP-Finance, EVP-Marketing, EVP-Mentorship, and VP-Communications.  You will find the officer descriptions below.

Finally, Bauer will be hosting a Virtual Prep Course to help you prepare for upcoming virtual events such as Career Fairs and Networking events. This interactive session will provide you with tips and tricks for navigating virtual events, let you know what you need to have prepared in advance, as well as what to expect the day of the event.
The event is scheduled for August 18th from 12:00 – 1:00 pm and you can RSVP in Gateway under events – workshops.

As always, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to send me an email at president@bgwn.org.

-Kim
