Issaquah Valley Elementary PTA
Make a difference... Become an Angel
Would you like to make a difference in our IVE community? Please consider becoming an Angel Sponsor and have a direct impact on the life of one of our own IVE students. Angels are parents and individuals who are able to sponsor a child in need with basic necessities twice a year. Contributions in the form of gift cards make giving easy. For questions about the program or to become an Angel Sponsor, or to enroll a child, please contact Jaimi Messmer at email@example.com
Please join us in welcoming our 2015-2016 Community Outreach Coordinators and newest PTA Board Members, Morgan Noble and Katie Bell! Morgan and Katie can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Halloween and our Fall Fun Fair are just around the corner. We would like to give all IVE students the opportunity to dress up for these events! Please donate any gently used and clean Halloween costumes to our donation racks located outside the main office by October 20th. Beginning October 26, if your student needs a costume, he or she will have the opportunity to browse the racks and select a costume.
Kindergarten-2nd grade Holiday Choir is coming soon and a piano accompanist is needed! Please be on the look-out for information the last week of October. Registration due date is November 13, 2015.
The Holiday Choir is desperately seeking a pianist to accompany the Choir. If you, or someone you know might be interested in supporting our great kids and having fun making music together, please consider volunteering your time to this worthy event.
The Choir will be singing 5-6 simple holiday songs, and holding three rehearsals on Wednesday afternoons (November 18, December 9, and December 16 from 1:00-2:30) before the final performance the evening of Wednesday, December 16th. The accompanist would be asked to play for the rehearsals and the evening performance. If interested, please contact Emily Whelan, Choir Director, at email@example.com as soon as possible before Friday, November 6th.
We would like to thank all of our great volunteers and members of our school community who made our Salmon Days Parking Fundraiser so successful! We collected over $7500 which will fund classroom supplies, books and magazines and help support our new grant program! Thank you! Mark and Caryna Wilding

"Let Your Imagination Fly"
The National PTA Reflections program encourages students in preschool through grade 12 to create and submit original works of art in the medium of their choice - literature, photography and visual arts — reflecting on this year's theme. There also is a special artist division option for students with disabilities to ensure that all students have the opportunity to participate.
Students are recognized each year for their artistic ingenuity to bring the theme to life in a way that is personal and meaningful. So write a poem or story, take a picture or create a piece of visual art and tell us your interpretation of the theme.
- There will be a prize for every participant!
- Deadline for all entries: Friday, October 23rd, 3pm
- Questions? Contact firstname.lastname@example.org
Visit the Reflections page
on our PTA website for important documents and additional information.
