Caring through Sharing - Holiday Gift Barn
This holiday season IVE PTA will continue the tradition of supporting the Issaquah Food & Clothing Bank's “Caring through Sharing - Holiday Gift Barn” program. This program helps over a 1,000 kids and families in need that reside in our IVE community and the Issaquah School district by spreading joy and brightening their holidays.
Visit our IVE lobby, where you will see a display decorated with colorful tags. Please pick out a tag (or two or three!) to help spread a little holiday cheer to families in need this season. Once you have purchased the item(s) on your tag(s), please drop it off, unwrapped, in the bin located in the IVE lobby. Please place gift cards in a sealed envelope marked Holiday Barn in the PTA mailbox located in the main office. Donations of wrapping supplies and batteries are greatly appreciated as well. The last day for drop off is Thursday Dec 7th.

Book Drive to Support the VOICE Mentor Program
For the next two months Barnes & Noble in Issaquah is inviting customers to purchase a book that will be donated to support the Issaquah Schools Foundation’s VOICE Mentor Program.
VOICE is an in-school volunteer mentoring program, helping students in all 24 Issaquah schools. Issaquah Highlands’ resident Warren Moskowitz has been a VOICE mentor for 11 years. “It’s a wonderful challenge to get students interested in learning. I enjoy the time and we become friends. I miss my students in the summer and am looking forward to returning to mentoring in September.” You, too, can be that positive VOICE for a student. To learn more, visit www.voicementorprogram.org
December 2, 2015 is Giving Tuesday, and we are thinking about teachers and the incredible impact they have on our children every day. Do you have a teacher you would like to honor? If so, visit our website on December 2nd, and give a gift as a tribute to their hard work and dedication. We will notify them electronically of your donation and list their name on our website. Thank you for supporting the teachers of our community!
