PARENTS! Dress your little ones in their Halloween costumes and come to the Issaquah Valley fenced parking lot for some trick or treating fun! Trick or treat from trunk to trunk from IVE families that have decorated their vehicles for you to enjoy!
There will be free popcorn, drinks, movies (in the MPR) and of course CANDY! You don’t want to miss it! It’s going to be SPOOKTACULAR! Costumes are optional! Event will take place rain or shine!
IVE will be collecting gently used clothing to support the Eastside Fire & Rescue's 5th Annual “Fill the Truck” to benefit Issaquah & Mt. Si Food and Clothing Banks. Donations will be collected through November 25th

Hands-On Art Night & Reflections Reception

Bring the whole family and enjoy creating hands-on art projects and learning about the PTA sponsored Art Docent Program. During the evening student artists who participated in the National PTA Reflections cultural arts competition will be recognized. Please show your support for the Visual Arts and join us!!!
Make a difference... Become an Angel
Please become an Angel Sponsor and have a direct impact on the life of one of our own IVE students. Angels are parents and individuals who are able to sponsor a child in need with basic necessities twice a year. Contributions in the form of gift cards make giving easy. On behalf of the Community Outreach Program, we would like to thank everyone who has participated in the Halloween costume donation drive. Donated costumes will be handed out to kids Thursday, October 29 from 8:30 am to 11:30 am. Parents of children who are in need of a costume, please remind them to come by and check out the many wonderful costumes.
Calling all 2nd-5th graders: Math Adventures is returning to IVE in March 2016! The spring event will be based on Greek Mythology: Homer’s The Odyssey. A Parent Information Night will be held on Monday, November 16, 2105 from 7-8 PM in the IVE Library. Questions? Jogging Club is back and we need YOUR HELP on our journey to “Run Across America!”
Who: Kindergarten-5th Graders
When: Every Tuesday and Thursday during LUNCH RECESS starting November 3rd-June
10:35-10:55 Kindergarten & 2nd Grade Recess
11:00-11:20 1st & 4th Grade Recess
11:25-11:45 3rd & 5th Grade Recess
Where: IVE Field (child registration NOT required since this is a recess activity)
What: IVE students will run 2,770 miles - a distance equal to running from Issaquah, Washington to Washington D.C. Individual recognition will be given to students on the Jogging Club Bulletin Board as they complete each 5 miles. Students will receive special individual recognition when they reach 26.2 miles (Marathon mark!)
What’s the need? Volunteers who are willing to mark the students’ cards as they complete laps (rain or shine) and help keep our Jogging Club Bulletin Board up to date!

The first PTA hosted Staff and Teacher Appreciation Luncheon of the year is taking place Friday, November 13 and we are looking for chefs of all abilities to share their culinary talents. The theme is Comfort Food so whether you make a rocking mac and cheese or a killer mashed potatoes, this is your time to shine. If you're not the next Rachel Ray or Martha Stewart, don't worry, you can show you care by picking up some bread or drinks or signing up to help set up, serve or clean up! Kindergarten-2nd grade Holiday Choir is coming soon! Please watch for information the last week of October. Registration due date is November 13, 2015.
The Choir will be singing 5-6 simple holiday songs, and holding three rehearsals on Wednesday afternoons (November 18, December 9, and December 16 from 1:00-2:30) before the final performance the evening of Wednesday, December 16th. Calling all 5th Graders! Yearbook Cover Contest
The Yearbook Cover Contest starts NOW! All 5th graders are welcome to participate in the contest. One lucky 5th grader's drawing will be selected as the 2015-2016 yearbook cover. Ideas for yearbook covers could include: your favorite school activity, school mascot or whatever else comes to your imagination.
Entry forms can be found in the hallway by the office. Entries are due by November 15th. Winner will be announced in December!

Issaquah Schools Foundation Grant Writing Workshop
Every year, the Issaquah Schools Foundation awards that funds more than 30 programs district wide, impacting the education of every student, every year.
