Bilgola Recognition

Zac Cracknell
Congratulations to Zac Cracknell of Patrol 4 who was recently appointed to Vice Captain.
Marc Bernard (Patrol Captain) was pleased to now have Zac working closely with him on their patrol and share the responsibilities and effort with coordination and beach management. Well deserved Zac, congratulations!

Romily Madew
It is no surprise to see that Romily has once again found more time in her 24 hours, this time taking the additional responsibility of Duty Officer. You may have already spoken with Rom while she has been working the microphone at Surfcom. Once her ankle recovers, we can expect to see Rom traversing our Norther Beaches, providing that extra support for incident and beach management. An amazing feat Rom, we don't know how you do it, perhaps you have a twin...

Greg Woods
Congratulations to Greg Woods of Patrol 2 who has been successful with his application to the Powercraft Panel for SLS Northern Beaches. The panel's purpose is to promote a culture of safety and make appropriate recommendations to ensure the growth of powercraft operations in Sydney Northern Beaches, which includes new equipment rollout, improved performance equipment and reviewing of training programs. We know you'll be great.

Bilgola Swim POP this in your Diary
Reminder 18th April

We have had to postpone the Swim from Sunday 17th January to Sunday 18th April. It will be the last Swim for the 2020-21 Sydney Swim Season – probably a season we might all want to forget – but let’s go out with a celebration that the pandemic might have affected us but it will not change us as a club.
Please look out for requests in this Newsletter or contact me if you would like to help on this important Club event.

Nippers REMINDERS...

Please continue to check NSW Health in regards to COVID-19 notifications/changes.

Everyone to check in with QR code as per link on website or on site on Nippers day.

Hope to  - See you at the Beach

Ray White Now | February Edition

As it turns out, residential real estate actually beat all other asset classes in 2020. Across all metro and non- metro (regional) markets, Australian home values appreciated three per cent in 2020. If you then add in the national gross rental yield, you get an impressive total return of 6.60 per cent for the year. If you are interested to know the All Ordinaries Index finished up 0.71 per cent over 2020, and the RBA actual cash rate finished at 0.25 per cent. The surge in property values was presumably a huge surprise to all the analysts, economists and fund managers who predicted house prices would fall 10 per cent, 15 per cent, 20 per cent or even 30 per cent!

Property of the Week:

1945 Pittwater Road, Bayview

An estate of astonishing natural beauty and elegance, this extraordinary residence had its pick of the finest positions on Pittwater; masterbuilt in 1901 and sympathetically expanded in the following decades, the residence and its magnificent gardens bask in a due north aspect with one of Sydney's most iconic views as its backdrop. Tightly held by one family for the last 40 years, it's certainly one of the peninsula's best-kept secrets; this home is a splendid example of grand Federation architecture fused with contemporary style and luxurious liveability
