Patrol News

After some warm temperatures for the start of the sesson, we saw the weather change mid week, but our second weekend of patrols drew the crowds as the weasther held up and reached into the 30's.
Bilgola's Patrollers are flying the flags in true spirit! We have made some adjustments under COVID guidelines and our first couple of weekend's have been a success as we settle into revised patient treatment, use of PPE, maintaining social distance and ensuring we disinfect all touch surfaces. Our goal is to ensure visitors to the beach get home safely and that our member wellbeing is looked after.
Patrollers, please familiarise yourself with new patrol procedures, all Patrol Captains have received a briefing on the changes to set up, and pack down. Please discuss if you are unsure.
Just a reminder that Advanced Resuscitation Techniques (ART) holders are the only crew to administer Oxygen. We will set a training schedule for new ART nominees to occur in the next few weeks. Speak with your Patrol Captain about attending this course and achieving an invaluable award.
Skills Maintenance
Please note - Patrolling members have until November 1st to complete.
This season will mark a huge shift in the way we conduct surf lifesaving and we request all active members complete their online skills maintenance ASAP. Online skills maintenance is where patrolling members will be educated and equipped with the new information they need to patrol this season. Online skills maintenance will cover more ground this season to minimise what needs to be done for physical proficiencies.
For information on the new changes to Bronze and SRC, please see the video and info page below.

New Curriculum info page
You should have received an email about skills maintenance if you are a patrolling member and have access via elearning in the members area. If you have any trouble or questions please email
Advanced Resuscitation Techniques
We will be running an Advanced Resuscitation Techniques course this month. Advanced resuscitation skills are a great compliment to the bronze medallion and make you even more of an asset to your surf life saving patrol. Under the current changes to patrol operations, ART award holders are the only members permitted to handle oxygen in emergency incidents.
Dates: 20th, 22nd (2 hour evening sessions) and 25th (final training and assessment) of October
If you are interested in the ART course, please email to register interest.

HOUSE OF THE WEEK -  314 Whale Beach Road Palm Beach
A flawless example of the modern Australian beach house, 314 Whale Beach Road combines premium quality design with a due north aspect and 180 views to the Central Coast. Soaking in all day sunshine, the home sits above a broad expanse Crown Reserve to the shoreline - all the better to indulge in some of the finest ocean views on the peninsula. The design offers the kind of flexibility and privacy that every family looks for in a holiday house; it's open plan on the main level, while delivering welcome separation for parents, kids and weekend guests with three impeccable floors of living space.

How is the northern beaches property market right NOW ?
The COVID Pandemic has seen the 'lifestyle' factor underpinning strong sale results more than ever as people realise they can now work from anywhere and are preferring properties close to beaches & waterways, or locations that were otherwise reserved for weekenders or holiday homes. In addition, expats returning home due to the pandemic are turning their interest to Upper Northern Beaches properties.

Begging the question that if you are thinking about selling, "Why would you wait?"
