It was another weekend of poor weather which kept our beach visitor numbers down. The club used the opportunity to continue performing wet proficiencies and training skills which helps our patrolling members develop their capabilities on patrol. We will also see Bilgola participate in Search & Rescue training operation at Avalon beach in the coming week with other clubs, running drills and developing new skills to provide emergency help when needed.
This weekend's forecast is for milder conditions with blue skies on Sunday, and fingers crossed we will get to see our smiling Nippers for a fun Sunday. Patrol's are encouraged to conduct their wet proficiency while on patrol. Patrol reminder Saturday 7 November
Sat AM - Patrol 2
Sat PM - Patrol 6 Patrol reminder Sunday 8 November

EOI - Bilgola Emergency Callout Team
Expressions of interest are sought for members to be part of Bilgola’s Emergency Callout team.
We are looking for volunteers to be registered as part of Bilgola’s callout team. A centrally coordinated response will occur should Bilgola be called to action out-of-hours.
There were 92 requests for assistance from emergency services during the 2019-20 season.
SLS is recognised as an emergency service and therefore some changes need to occur.
Due to higher incident rates, there will be an increased activation of Surf Lifesaving Clubs outside of patrol hours.
Ideally you will reside within 10 minutes of the club and hold multiple awards such as First Aid, IRB Driver and Crew. However please do express your interest if you are keen.
As part of the callout team, you will participate in an induction/briefing.
As part of the callout team, we will conduct scenario/exercises.
Callout teams will receive additional kit to support out of hours response.
Let's hope that's the last of our cancellations!!!
I'm looking forward to getting back to it this Sunday.

****CALLOUT - UNIFORM SHOP VOLUNTEERS***
Our Uniform shop has been excellently handled over the last few years by Amy Preston and Mhairi Coghill. Understandably, they would like to step back from this role to enable them to pursue other interests.
We are looking for at least 1-2 volunteers to help continue the running of the Uniform shop and Clothing website.
An offer for our members. SLSNSW is excited to announce a new softboard, bodyboard and accessory product offering through our online shop that’ll have you shredding, ripping and spending hours of fun in the water. In time for this Christmas, shop online before 12 November and use the code BOMBORA at checkout for free delivery and a free gift on select products. Find Out More
