Sunshine and warmer weather conditions are promised for this weekend and so we hope to see more visitors at our lovely slice of paradise. Remember to swim between the flags and seek guidance from the Patrol on duty.
Best of luck to Jarrah Turner, Zac Cracknell and Josh Farr who will represent Bilgola SLSC and attend some specialist Search and Rescue Training at Avalon Beach on Saturday 14th. Valuable skills to learn and share with the wider patrolling teams. Have fun guys.
Congratulations to Caitlin Lowe of Patrol 14. Caity has just been appointed Vice Captain, a very well deserved appointment. Caity will lead the team together with Patrol Captain, Romily Madew. The combination of Captain and Vice Captain on each patrol improves our capabilities with team leadership and beach management. We know you will do a fantastic job Caity!!
This weekend's forecast is for stable conditions reaching a top of 23 degrees here at Bilgola with sun promised. Fingers crossed...!

FINAL CALL
EOI - Bilgola Emergency Callout Team
Expressions of interest are sought for members to be part of Bilgola’s Emergency Callout team.
We are looking for volunteers to be registered as part of Bilgola’s callout team. A centrally coordinated response will occur should Bilgola be called to action out-of-hours.
There were 92 requests for assistance from emergency services during the 2019-20 season.
SLS is recognised as an emergency service and therefore some changes need to occur.
Due to higher incident rates, there will be an increased activation of Surf Lifesaving Clubs outside of patrol hours.
Ideally you will reside within 10 minutes of the club and hold multiple awards such as First Aid, IRB Driver and Crew. However please do express your interest if you are keen.
As part of the callout team, you will participate in an induction/briefing.
As part of the callout team, we will conduct scenario/exercises.
Callout teams will receive additional kit to support out of hours response.
THIS Sunday at 1pm there will be an opportunity to bring you Advanced Resuscitation Techniques certificate up to date with Peter Fenley running an ART proficiency. Anyone with their ART award and available, we recommend taking this first opportunity.
Regards,
Emanuel Freer

****CALLOUT - UNIFORM SHOP VOLUNTEERS***
Our Uniform shop has been excellently handled over the last few years by Amy Preston and Mhairi Coghill. Understandably, they would like to step back from this role to enable them to pursue other interests.
We are looking for at least 1-2 volunteers to help continue the running of the Uniform shop and Clothing website.
