Bilgola Newsletter 15th January
Welcome back to the beach. During our lockdown through Christmas, we were asked to resume active patrols for the New Year. Thank you to all our patrols for providing service during such a challenging time on the Northern Beaches and at short notice. The members of Bilgola SLSC are what makes this club a very special and highly regarded community.

It's here, your updated Patrol Roster. The Jan - April patrol roster will soon be published to our web site for you to download. Please familiarise your patrol dates within your crew and please ensure you arrive with enough time to set up or secure parking for 1pm handover. Please note the patrol start time for Nippers, commencing this weekend 17 Jan at 8am. A big welcome to patrol for our new Bronzies and SRC's having completed their training and assessments. It is great to see new patrolling members gaining valuable skills and being able to provide a safe environment for visitors to Bilgola. If you still require uniforms please drop me an email at

Happy New Year and welcome 2021.

Along with a welcome to the new year, I would like to welcome back our Northern Zone members and we are one again.
The Christmas / New Year break is usually a busy time for us on the beaches but this was an even busier time for us all, even whilst in lockdown.
I would like to thank everyone of our patrolling members, Support Operations members and our RCO’s who completed patrols across the Christmas / New Year period of public holidays and weekends.  A very sincere thank you to the northern zone club members who patrolled during the restrictions over the New Year’s weekend.
As we start back to training, assessing and surf sports, I urge you all to stay within the required bounds of the numerous Public Health Orders we continue to face.
We were all glad to see the tail end of 2020 and whilst we head into 2021, I again thank you for embracing the red and yellow.
I will be patrolling this weekend and as always, please stay safe, look after yourselves and if I don’t see you on the beach, I’ll hear you on the radio.

Thanks Tracey

Bilgola Swim postponed from 17th Jan to 18th April

We have had to postpone the Swim from Sunday 17th January to Sunday 18th April. It will be the last Swim for the 2020-21 Sydney Swim Season – probably a season we might all want to forget – but let’s go out with a celebration that the pandemic might have affected us but it will not change us as a club.
Please look out for requests in this Newsletter or contact me if you would like to help on this important Club event.

As a wrap out to last season, we had a great result from our U10 Girls for the Juniors Carnival at Nth Narrabeen Sand Carnival - 13th December 2020. Lyla Rosser came 6th in the final of the U10 Flags. An absolutely brilliant result and a point for Bilgola SLSC.
