Enews from Bronwen Heilman          July 2014
It has been a long time!
I am BACK!!!

As you all know, I am the Flame Shop Director at Sonoran Glass School.  I have been working hard on getting the Flame Shop up and running.   And to run smoothly when I am not there.

I am still working in my studio. Creating new designs, and new techniques.  Painting techniques... Yay!!!

Painting on Borosilicate has never been done before... due to some incompatibility.   I have it figured out, and I am using this technique to add details on some of my newest borosilicate work.  (see below)

I hope you all enjoy these, as I continue to develop this fun body of work.

New Work - Borosilicate!!
I have developed a process where I can add color enamels, gold accents as well as dichroic glass to my borosilicate artwork!!!

This new work is made by flameworking borosilicate (or pyrex) glass tubing into shot glasses.  I am using glass powders to color them, or leaving them clear and sandblasting to give the glass a translucent white look.  These are beautiful!!!

All of the imagery has been fired on in the torch, and permanent.

Email me for more information!!!
