Are you interested in having a professional writer, storyteller, comic book writer, or spoken word artist work with youth and seniors in your community this fall?
Dear Community Organizer,
StoryScaping is back for the fall 2022 season! The Quebec Writers' Federation is delighted to announce that we are again offering workshops for seniors and youth in community groups around the province.
We are now booking workshops in the September-December 2022 period. The workshops can be delivered either online or in person. See below for details—booking is first come, first served. If you think youth and/or seniors in your community would enjoy a free workshop in creative writing, storytelling, or spoken word, read on!
The Quebec Writers' Federation has successfully booked and run 23 workshops with our StoryScaping project since November 2020, with community organizations from Outaouais to Rouyn-Noranda, the North Shore to Gaspésie.
Community organizations interested in participating can request one of six workshops to offer, free of charge, to members of their community, in the following categories:
These workshops give participants an opportunity to connect and to shape (or “scape”) their personal stories through wordplay and experimentation under the guidance of an experienced professional. They will learn to develop and share their stories, document their lives, and read or perform their unique creative work.
