IN THIS ISSUE...
Welcome
Guest Editor: Stéphanie Béthencourt-Joyce, Stakeholder Engagement Officer

Dear Colleagues,

As always, it is a pleasure to welcome you to the latest issue of Expressions.

In this quarter we have quite a few people to congratulate: David Wei Dai from the University of Melbourne in Australia, who was awarded the 2016 Caroline Clapham IELTS Masters Award; Eunice Jang and her team of researchers at the University of Toronto, Canada, who were awarded this year’s IELTS research grant; Griffith University IELTS test centre reaching their 10 year anniversary; and, last but not least, the entrants in our IELTS Speak Up competition. It certainly has been a busy quarter for all!

Our team in Saudi Arabia has also been active, introducing several professional development opportunities for IELTS teachers in conjunction with an esteemed partner, King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah. More than 30 teachers took up the opportunity to update their IELTS teaching skills.

I would like to encourage you all to check whether your organisation is listed on IELTS.org and ensure that all information is correct. This is a great no-cost way to direct potential applicants to your website.

We’re also asking for your feedback on the new-look IELTS.org, launched earlier this year. Please let us know what you think.

We welcome your feedback and suggestions for any article you would like to see in Expressions. If there’s a story from your organisation that you would like to share, please email us at ielts.communications@idp.com.
Stephanie Bethencourt-Joyce, Stakeholder Engagement Officer, IDP Education
Best wishes for the festive season and see you all in 2017!
