Ministry Minutes
Every Sunday we are greeted by warm smiles, handshakes (or more COVID-
friendly distanced waves) and three GIANT flats of donuts. The smell of coffee permeates the narthex as we hang up our coats and grab a bulletin from an usher. St. Luke's Sunday morning coffee and donuts are staples and appear as from nowhere, much like the widow of Zarephath's flour and oil. But unlike the widow's oil, the donuts don't just appear. Did you know John Schadt picks up the donuts nearly every Sunday and Sue Roberts usually gets our coffee ready? Or that Al and Lilian Matz faithfully clean up after second service? Others pitch in and help cut the donuts and make sure there is juice for kids. Please join me in thanking these dedicated members who provide the goodies to help us connect and celebrate Christ’s love in community. Without their consistent, almost unnoticed efforts our Sunday morning experience would not be the same. Thank you John, Al, Lilian and many more unnamed members who ensure this space is prioritized, available and full of donuts. If you'd like to help ensure this space stays a constant here, reach out to Kelly Wendorff ( and she can provide all of the sweet details.
