The first week of June is Volunteers' Week so we wanted to take a moment to recognise the important role volunteers play in the sector and share some useful tools to help you recruit and retain them. We'll also be reminding you how to become an I Am Team GB Games Maker.
Make sure you check out the following pages which all have loads of volunteering related stats and facts for you to use:

And if you need more support to run your club or group, check out our volunteer finder where 200,000 people are searching for their next volunteering opportunity.

We mentioned last month that we’re excited to be involved in bringing back I Am Team GB, an initiative inspired by Team GB and supported by Toyota.

It's not too late to sign up as an I Am Team GB Games Maker and host an activity for your local community over the August bank holiday weekend. For a bit of inspiration, check out Grant's story and to get involved, head over to the I Am Team GB website

And don't worry, the team will be on hand to support you along the way and you'll receive an official I Am Team GB Games Maker kit and a digital pack with a whole host of tools to bring your activity to life.

During Coaching Week 3-9 June, clubs, coaches, community groups, education, businesses and the public will come together to showcase and explore how coaches can play a greater role in building healthier, happier communities.

In an increasingly digital world, where sedentary lifestyles and loneliness are on the rise, the need to get people moving and connected has never been greater. Coaching is a great solution to this modern-day problem.

Together, during Coaching Week, we can send a strong message that explains why it makes sense to support and develop coaches.
