SHORTLIST ANNOUNCED FOR AWARDS

This week's newsletter showcases the shortlisted entries for our Community Sport and Recreation Awards and offers you some insight into the political year ahead within the sport and recreation sector.

We'd like to say a massive thank you to everyone who submitted an entry for this year’s Community Sport and Recreation Awards. The standard was exceptionally high and our judging panel was particularly impressed with how you all demonstrated the impact of your hard work and the improvement made to peoples lives and their communities.

The next step for the fifteen shortlisted entries will be the awards lunch which will take place on 15 March in Birmingham. HRH the Earl of Wessex will present the winner of each category with their award and £1,000 prize money.

The awards lunch will provide an opportunity to network and celebrate the success of grassroots sport and recreation. Tickets on sale soon! 

THE POLITICAL YEAR AHEAD

The previous year in politics was nothing if not eventful. Brexit dominated the headlines for most of the year and predicting the next political twist has become impossible.
