One in four of us will suffer with a mental health problem this year, yet sadly many of us are still afraid to talk about it. Today is Time to Talk Day, a day designed to encourage everyone to talk about mental health.

To mark the day, we’ve been busy working with the mental health charity, Mind and the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport to produce a resource to help improve the mental health of everyone involved in the sport and recreation sector.

Whether you work full-time or are one of the amazing army of sport and recreation volunteers, Thriving at Work: A guide for the sport and physical activity sector offers a fantastic range of ideas to provide mental health wellbeing support.

So why not take a read and make sure you get some of the good practice ideas such as encouraging open conversations about mental health or developing awareness onto the agenda for your next meeting, training session or event.

Ever wonder what your organisation could achieve with the help of a few extra pairs of hands? And what if they were passionate, skilled individuals full of new ideas and energy?

If that sounds of interest, make sure you check out our Volunteer Finder. It's a simple online tool which will match you with the right volunteers from the 200,000 who are browsing the site every month. Whether you are looking for help with a one off event or you need a long term commitment, your new workforce is waiting for you.
This week the Fed Cup tennis tournament is taking place in Bath. Check out this short case study to find out how we helped the organisers serve up a team of great volunteers for the event.

And remember, it doesn't matter if you are a tiny local club or group, or a major international competition, we can help.
