Micro-Lesson #2

Thank you very much for responding so enthusiastically to my first micro-lesson! If you want to see it again, you’ll find a link at the bottom. I decided to keep a list of all the previously published lessons at the bottom, for an easy reference.

Have you already memorised the symbols of the planets and the signs? If you haven’t, please do that first, then return to this lesson!

Today the task is to learn the sequence of the signs of the zodiac. Just the sequence, but you need to know it very, very, very well! Especially if you want to write popular forecasts for the signs of the zodiac, this is one of the most essential bits of knowledge.

Start from printing out the zodiacal circle. On this page you’ll find a suitable image (the degrees aren’t important for now), or you can google up something more colourful, if you prefer. Hang this picture somewhere you’ll see it frequently. You’ll need to have it in your head, so that if someone woke you up in the middle of the night and asked something like “what’s the sign opposite to Leo?” you could answer automatically, without thinking.

Here are a few exercises to help you:

  1. Recite the names of the signs of the zodiac from Aries to Pisces, in their proper order. Then from Pisces to Aries. Do this as quickly as you can!
  2. What is your Sun Sign (or, well, your ‘star sign’, if you still call it that way)? What’s the sign next to it in the zodiacal circle? What’s the sign previous to it? What’s the sign opposite to it? Do this for the Sun Signs of all your friends and relatives. Don’t cheat, don’t look at the picture!
  3. Same as in the previous exercise but do it for each and every sign, in any order.

That’s enough for today.

Please feel free to forward my lessons to everyone who you feel might benefit from them.

Announcements

There is a free, and good, astrological font, which you can use in pretty much any document or software. Here it is. Enjoy!

If you can read Russian, you might be interested to know that I started the restauration of my old Russian website Galactica.ru, which was abandoned for quite a while. I am rebuilding it from scratch on a new contemporary platform, so the restauration will take ages. There will be tons of lessons and articles there, I will never be able to translate them into English, unfortunately. Even formatting them and uploading is a huge endeavour! We’ll better have our micro-lessons!

See you later,

Alexander
