The A24 Virtual Screening Room presents

In conjunction with their theater partners, A24 has launched a virtual cinema platform to supplement Minari's limited theatrical release on February 12. The A24 Screening Room will host two weeks of Minari virtual screenings as we work together to bring Lee Isaac Chung's beloved film to the audiences who want to see it most.

UCLA Asian American Studies Center, in partnership with UCLA Film & Television Archive will continue to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Asian American Studies at UCLA that was cut short last March due to the pandemic with a virtual film festival! Over two weekends, February 19-21 and February 26-28, they will present online programming featuring powerful imagery and poignant commentary about meaningful issues facing Asian American and Pacific Islander communities. Audiences will hear from filmmakers and actors on their creative journeys, as well as from scholars, artists, and community leaders on themes that apply to today's world.
All programs are FREE but require an RSVP to access programs, screenings, and conversations.

The theme for the 2021 APA Visionaries Short Film Competition is “Taking the Lead.” Films should portray Asian Pacific Americans as being at the forefront of a given narrative, embracing the spirits of trailblazers, heroes, and luminaries through a unique lens. Shared Stories: Encore Presentations

ArtsEmerson presents Shared Stories, a monthly film series in collaboration with the Boston Asian American Film Festival (BAAFF), Boston Latino International Film Festival (BLIFF), and the Roxbury International Film Festival (RoxFilm) seeking to build community, shared conversation, and experiences through cinema. This pilot series aspires to create a shared space to find commonality across experiences, and encourage the exchange of stories and ideas.
SERIES SPOTLIGHT: Our Right to Gaze: Black Film Identities is a collection of six shorts, as filmmakers gaze at themselves and their world, attempting to make sense of what they see reflected back. From gripping drama to heart-warming comedy, Our Right to Gaze: Black Film Identities features timely stories from Black artists that take us outside of the ordinary.

Are you excited by the colors, sounds, and movements of lion dance on the streets of Chinatown? Join us for a family-friendly workshop to learn basic lion dance moves with Nüwa Athletic Club! Workshops are geared towards children ages 5-12.
