On June 27, the Summer Speaker Series brought Jay Paterno to Troy, PA.  The series is a project that was created by Penn State junior, Sam Antes, who wanted to make a difference in his hometown and surrounding area.  Each month this summer a new speaker will present a lecture discussing success, inspiration, character, involvement, or any other topic that would have a good message that might help the members of our community. Each of these events will also be a fundraiser for a group or project in the area that is in need.  Last month supported the Troy Food Bank which is raising money to build a new building (more info on supporting this cause here) .  July's proceeds support the Bradford County Regional Arts Council.  Mary Beth Kennedy Voda will be speaking about her father's experience in World War II.  All WWII veterans are admitted free.  Tickets are $10.
