"But I already donate. Why do I need to become a member?"
That’s fantastic! Thank you. But we want you to join to be a member of our family and community. We want you to feel ownership and stewardship of our shul.
“But I already belong to another synagogue in the area.”
We get it! Many PHS members, including members of our Board, belong to other synagogues. We welcome you to join PHS and to remain committed to other synagogues you value.
"But I really don't think I can afford the membership dues."
PHS has never turned an interested applicant away for financial reasons. We are eager to accommodate your specific situation. check out our signup page and be assured that all financial queries are kept confidential.
"But I am not or may not be considered Jewish according to Orthodox standards."
If you want our Jewish community to be your Jewish community, we want you. Rabbi Jon Leener is happy to talk with you about where you are on your Jewish journey and to make sure you find a comfortable way to feel at home at PHS.
