Kiddush and Tot Shabbat
Tot Shabbat will run from 11:00 am-11:45am at Mount Prospect Park (still aimed at under-5 year olds, but hopefully we will start programming for 5-8 year olds as well. If you’d like to help organize, drop us a line!) led this week by Miriam Braun.

1027 Re-Opening
We’re excited to share a roadmap towards returning to davening as a community in our space at 1027 Pacific. This roadmap has been developed in conjunction with numerous medical professionals in our community, and as always reflects our current understanding of the present situation. We will continue to monitor guidance from the state, city, and other community organizations. We have also updated our PHS COVID 19 guidance, which can be found on our website (

Rabbi Leener - Family Leave

Rabbi Leener will be on family leave July 8th-26th to spend time with his new daughter. In his absence, our rabbinic intern and community members will help organize t'filot and divrei torah. If you are able to help, please email

PHS/CKI Zoom Game Night

Molly Zeff, a local community member and head of Flying Leap Games, is organizing a Zoom game night for PHS and CKI next THURSDAY, June 10, from 8:30 - 10 pm.

We'll be play-testing a new party game called Jewish Card Revoked, which involves playing and giving feedback on it. Jewish Card Revoked* is a light, humorous game based on Jewish culture. 

If you want to attend, please RSVP by Wednesday night to Lee Eskin at OR just show up! We can play with up to 10 people.

*It was inspired by the game Black Card Revoked from the company Cards for All People, with whom Molly is now partnering.

Seeking Part Time Administrator

The Prospect Heights Shul is seeking a part-time Administrator to help facilitate its regular operations. Administrator will work directly with the VP Operations and VP Communications, and will be responsible for several standing tasks and some ad-hoc tasks, to be communicated by the members of the Board detailed above via email.

Details: Part-time, paid weekly, mostly from home except delivery management, ~10hrs per week, $25 per hour

How to Apply: Please submit a resume and brief note describing interest to Candidates that meet minimum qualifications will be invited to interview and complete a brief writing/editing exercise to determine suitability (all candidates will be paid at the hourly rate for this exercise.)

Community Volunteer OpportunityCrown Heights JCC at 899 Montgomery Street is looking for volunteers to support the food pantry they created to meet the rising need for emergency food assistance in Crown Heights.
