Spring Sun in Ahuriri!

Warmer days and longer evenings mean one thing, Spring has arrived! Read further to discover what is happening this October in Ahuriri.

World Cup Knock Out

The business end of the Rugby World Cup 'kicks off' this weekend with the quarter finals beginning Sunday morning. Make your way down to any one of the bars in Ahuriri to catch all the action on the big screens.

October Meet & Greet at MTG

This month's 'Meet & Greet' will be held at the MTG in Napier. Come and mingle with Ahuriri Business Association members and enjoy drinks and nibbles as well as a free visit to the exhibitions. Everyone is welcome to attend, please click here to RSVP.

Spriggs Park Pavilion Underway

Construction of the new changing pavilion at Spriggs Park has begun. The new pavilion will contain four toilets, three showers, two changing rooms, seating, bike parking and a drinking station. Construction is due for completion in mid-December.

Free Boat Safety Check

Free boat safety checks will be available 19 October, 2pm to 6pm at Perfume Point in Ahuriri as part of this year's Boat Safety Week. The Napier Sailing Club, Hawke's Bay Regional Harbourmaster and Hawke's Bay Volunteer Coast Guard will provide the checks, and there are some great prizes up for grabs too! City Fitness Open House

CityFitness in Ahuriri will be holding a free Open House for all on Saturday, 17 October. The Open House is a great chance to have a look around, attend seminars with Samantha Hannah and Ben Warren and be in to win an Air New Zealand Mystery Break Giveaway. Click here to find out more.

'Coastal Impressions'

Two of Napier's well known artists, Karen Johnston and Bari Duncan, are providing landscape/seascape pieces for their joint exhibition, 'Coastal Impressions', at Quay Gallery 15 October until 2 November. Visit the Quay Gallery website for further information.

'Transparency Fine Art Photography'

Red Peach Gallery will host an exhibition of pieces from photographer Margot Burns until 25 October. With a life-long passion for art and beautiful things especially light, fine art and photography, Margot’s art is certain to evoke feelings of peace, joy, freedom and serenity.
