Businesses unite over the fence

This week, 15 businesses on both sides of Rokeby Road, between Roberts Road and Hay Street collaborated for a day of discounts including up to twenty per cent off, a complimentary glass of wine or coffee with a meal, and a  free make-up session, to thank visitors and regular customers for their patience and for continued loyalty during the construction works.
The idea for the event started with stationery shop kikki.K Subiaco wanting to do something special to thank their customers for their loyalty and patronage which they then extended the invitation to neighbouring businesses on the block.
If you wish to discuss the promotion of your business, contact the city's Economic Development team at

Rokeby Road update - works on track

The western, north-bound lane of Rokeby Road is scheduled to re-open by Friday 16 September when the Water Corporation and ATCO Gas works are completed.

The city’s streetscape works will then continue through to Wednesday 12 October. Electrical installation works will follow and are expected to finish by Monday 7 November. These works will occur largely at night, causing only minor disruptions during the day.

All businesses are open as usual and parking is available behind Rokeby Road at the city’s four town centre car stations – Rowland Street, Forrest Square, Park Street and Barker Road, where the first hour is free with a valid ticket or EasyPark session.

The Water Corporation will be continuing their renewal works on Rokeby Road between Bagot Road and Thomas Street.  Information will be available shortly through, or for the city’s streetscape works, visit
