SEASON'S GREETINGS
The City of Subiaco wishes the very best of the festive season to all businesses, residents and visitors.

The City has supported seasonal trade with a range of business and destination activities, including: Additionally, the city supports a variety of community events that promote the city as a place for our residents and visitors to enjoy throughout the season. 

Please note that the city’s Administration Centre (241 Rokeby Road) will be closed from 5pm on Friday 21 December until 9am on Wednesday 2 January. For emergencies, please contact the city’s after-hours service on (08) 9237 9222.

SMALL BUSINESS GRANTS ANNOUNCED
The City of Subiaco's first ever round of Small Business Grants, totalling $15000 have been approved this week. These grants are specifically designed to help promote innovation or business investment within the city that aligns with the goals of Subiaco's Economic Development Strategy.

Five businesses were approved for funding in this round.

Project: Parklet Development
Alignment: Street Activation, Night Time Economy

Cahoots
Project: Product Development
Alignment: Innovation, Knowledge Industries

Glamour Nail Bar
Project: Product Launch
Alignment: Innovation, Business Expansion

New Normal Bar + Kitchen
Project: Building upgrade
Alignment: Street Activation, Night Time Economy

Pitcher & Iron
Project: New Equipment
Alignment: Business Expansion, Business Attraction

Each of these businesses put forward grant applications that demonstrated a clear understanding of the funding criteria and proposed ideas that have the potential for business growth.

The next round of grants will be available in May 2019
CALLING ALL FOODIES
The Western Metropolitan Regional Council (WMRC) is inviting Subiaco food industry businesses for a sundowner event on Monday 18 February 2019, focusing on sustainability.

The Serve Food Not Litter sundowner will showcases restaurants, cafés and takeaway food establishments that have addressed single-use disposable litter items in their business.

The WMRC event will bring together businesses, councils and suppliers to meet, greet and shape the future.

SUPPORT A SUNSET@SUBI
The City of Subiaco is proud to once again present the sunset@subi concert series. These already successful concerts are expected to grow this year, attracting over 500 attendees at each concert, running for six Sundays from 23 December to 3 February at various parks in the city.

These free, family-friendly events are a great way to engage the local community and also attract visitors from outside of Subiaco.

Our expanded marketing campaign now includes some ideas that as a local business owner, you may wish to consider as a way of promoting your business.
