SA Housing Crisis

It's a bloody nightmare!

This week, The Advertiser highlighted the impact of the housing crisis on the South Australian economy. There is some $44 billion worth of future projects, with some $3.3 billion slated across our region, however a lack of available housing and rentals is impacting availability of attracting additional employees to fulfil new jobs.

Regional Development Australia SA Chairman, Rob Kerin, stated:
“It’s very hard to build your business. It’s hard enough to get workers anyway but when you do it’s just as hard to house them. It’s a bloody nightmare and really frustrating.”

Our own CEO, Damien Cooke, affirms that RDA AHFKI is working collectively with other RDA's, as Regional Development South Australia, to encourage the State Government to make this issue a priority.
