Dear Neighbor,

The Connecticut Department of Transportation will begin milling and resurfacing a 0.79-mile segment of Route 44 in Pomfret.

Milling will start Monday, October 26, 2020 and resurfacing will be performed Tuesday, October 27, 2020 through Wednesday, October 28, 2020.

Motorists should expect lane closures on Route 44 from Covell Road to Wolf Den Grange Hall in Pomfret. The work schedule for this project is from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Wednesday.

Motorists are advised to remain alert, drive cautiously, and to maintain a safe speed when driving in and near the project limits. Modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.
