Forpremiere på nyt psykiatrirum
Medicinsk Museions nye psykiatrirum åbner onsdag den 29. maj 2013 kl.14.00. Psykiatrirummet er et eksperiment. Vi har lukket vores gamle permanente psykiatriudstilling, men i stedet for at opbygge en ny, har vi etableret en hybrid mellem udstilling, åbent magasin og fagligt inspirations- rum. Det er et mangfoldigt rum i bevægelse, der er til for at blive brugt. |
20. maj: Morgan Meyer seminar om laboratorier på museer
Morgan Meyer, postdoc ved Centre de Sociologie de l’Innovation, Mines ParisTech, gæster Medicinsk Museion den 20. maj kl. 15:00 for at forestå seminaret A laboratory in the museum? Displaying science in the making in exhibitions. Fri entré.
Uddrag af seminarets emnebeskrivelse: "I will be concerned with the changes that the laboratory undergoes when it is “spatially challenged” by being put into a museum. Through its move into an exhibition space we see a transformation of its social and material architecture; an extension of its object-world; and a change in, and multiplication of, the characteristics of science and technology." Gratis seminar med professor Massimiano Bucchi på torsdag
Nu på torsdag, den 16. maj kl. 15:00, gæster professor i Science in Society ved Università di Trento, Massimiano Bucchi, Medicinsk Museion. Der er fri adgang til Bucchis seminar, som bærer titlen " Newton’s Chicken. Science in The Kitchen and its Metaphors". Du kan læse et resume af seminaret på Museions hjemmeside her, hvor du også kan læse om øvrige kommende og tidligere seminarer.
Efter seminaret (kl. 16:00) vil der være en lille reception med vin og vand. |

Sneak preview: New psychiatry room
Medical Museion’s new psychiatry room opens Wednesday, May 29th 2013 at 2pm. The psychiatry room is an experiment. We have closed down our old permanent psychiatry exhibition, but instead of putting up a new one, we have created a hybrid between exhibition, open collection and inspiration room. |
May 20th: Morgan Meyer seminar on labs in museums

This Thursday: Newton's Chicken. Seminar with Massimiano Bucchi
Thursday, May 16th at 3pm: Professor of Science in Society at Università di Trento, Massimiano Bucchi, will give a public talk at Medical Museion. Admission is free. The seminar is titled Newton’s Chicken. Science in The Kitchen and its Metaphors. Read the abstract here.

Speakers for 'The Data Body On The Dissection Table' announced
