FL Captive Wildlife Workshops and Black Pine Snakes
Black Pine Snakes

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) has recommended the Black Pine snake (Pituophis melanoleucus lodingi) be listed as a "threatened" species under the Endangered Species Act (ESA). USARK needs information from anyone working with this species (breeders, conservationists, etc.) in order to support the comment we submit. Please reply to this email or send an email to info@usark.org if you can assist.

The comment deadline is December 8, 2014. All information and comment link can be found at

Florida Captive Wildlife Workshops

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is hosting a series of public workshops to help shape captive wildlife regulations in Florida. These workshops will give the public the opportunity to provide feedback on current captive wildlife rules and recommendations for regulations.

The main topics for discussion will be administration, husbandry/experience, caging and licensing. Workshops will be held from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at each of the eight locations. Anyone interested in captive wildlife rules and regulations in Florida is encouraged to attend.
