Michael D. Minton
Dean, Mead, Minton & Zwemer
Announced as Recipient of the
2016 Pete Hegener Leadership Award
A room full of dedicated business, community and government leaders attended the 4th Annual Leadership dinner at the Harbour Ridge Yacht & Country Club on the evening of April 28th to recognize and celebrate outstanding leadership in St. Lucie County.
Eleven well-known and deserving visionaries and leaders throughout our community were nominated for the Pete Hegener Leadership Award by our membership. From that group, the selection committee chose three finalists, Kathryn Hensley, St. Lucie County School Board Michael Minton, Dean Mead Minton & Zwemer and Ken Pruitt, former Senate President and St. Lucie County Property Appraiser. While very different in terms of their roles within the community, each one embodies the attributes of the Leadership Award. All are visionaries in their own right, inspiring others towards that vision because they are trusted role models within the community, impacting our future with multiple and significant achievements within St. Lucie County.
After meeting with each of the three finalists and with much deliberation, the committee selected the finalist, Michael D. Minton, to receive the 2016 Pete Hegener Leadership Award!
The Leadership Dinner was sponsored by: Florida Power & Light Company, title sponsor; platinum sponsors: PGA Golf Club, Seacoast Bank, St. Lucie News Tribune/TCPalm; gold sponsors: AT&T Florida, Bank of America, CenterState Bank, Dean Mead, Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute Foundation, Hilton Garden Inn, Keiser University, Martin Health System and St. Lucie Public Schools.
