Please join us this week and next for more community fun, including more great music, Dayton Pirate Pride and the "lighting up" of downtown and Dayton neighborhoods with lanterns! This Week at Dayton Friday Nights: Pirate Pride and Classic Rock! Cruise on down to downtown Dayton from 5:30-8:30 p.m. on Aug. 28th! The Boomers play classic 60s, 70s, and 80s rock tunes from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the park, and enjoy the car show on 4th St., vendors, specials and wine tastings at downtown businesses plus kids games and a contest offered by The Pirate's Den. Show off your Dayton Pirate Pride to win prizes and have fun! Wear the Dayton Pirate colors or dress as a Pirate! Win a prize for best child Pirate, best adult Pirate or best Pirate Fan with Dayton Pirate colors. They'll have their super cool "Gem of the Pirates Den" Ship there for photo opps and tours, too! Annual DCDA Meeting Coming Up in October!  Stay tuned for news of our annual Dayton Community Development Association public meeting & volunteer reception that'll be happening soon! Everyone is welcome to attend! Date to be announced. 12th Annual Dayton Fiesta Run Willamette Valley Road Runners Club of Salem  September 12 Dewey Sullivan Memorial Foundation Fundraiser on Sept. 12th The Dewey Sullivan Memorial Foundation is pleased to be giving away ten (10) tickets to this year’s fundraiser. Scholarships are awarded annually and funded by the Foundation. In recent years, the foundation has added support to the Pirate Cheerleading program, football camps and the Little Guy football program. This year’s fundraising event will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at Stoller Vineyards located at 16161 NE McDougall Road in Dayton. The event runs from 6:00 – 8:00 pm and includes dinner, catered by Lonestar BBQ, a picadilly auction and an oral auction. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased through Shawn Sutton at 503.434.7969 or shawndigger@yahoo.com. This event is a casual event where locals can come together and support Coach Sullivan’s commitment to our football program while having some fun with friends.
