January 2015
Welcome to 2015!
We are so excited for all that is in store for OPL and the Orrville community this year! The library is closed today as we ring in the new year with family and friends, but we will resume normal hours tomorrow.

Winter Story Time Registration
Wednesday, January 7
Mark your calendar to be sure and call early on January 7 to reserve your spot for all the little ones for our winter story time session!

E-Media Help Session
Thursday, January 8, 5:30-7:30 pm

Do you have a Kindle, Nook, iPad, or other eBook device and have questions on how to use it? Our technician will be available on Thursday, January 8 between the hours of 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. to help you find answers to those questions. Also, learn how you can borrow books and magazines from the library and download them to your device using your library card! To register, call us at 330-683-1065. Bring your own device or come play with one of ours. Please note that we will be hosting an e-media help session on the second Thursday of each month on a continuing basis. We may be able to accommodate a limited number of walk-ins depending on how many people have registered in advance.

Book Club
Tuesday, January 20, 6:30 pm

All adults are invited to join the OPL Book Club! The Invention of Wings by Sue Monk Kidd is the book to read this month. Call or stop by the library's information desk to sign up for email reminders and to reserve a copy of the book, or place your hold in the catalog.

Cookbook Club

If simplifying is on your list of New Year's resolutions, you'll love this month's session of the Cookbook Club! One Pot from Martha Stewart Living is the book of the month, featuring over 100 recipes of complete, all-in-one meals that you can prepare with little effort and minimal cleanup. Register now by calling 330-683-1065 and then bring a sample of your chosen recipe to the meeting. Plates and silverware will be provided.

We Read!
The Celebration is Complete!
We successfully completed last year's celebration of the Orrville sesquicentennial by rounding up 150 of YOUR favorite family titles and our album is complete! You can take a look at the full collection of photos and book titles on our Pinterest page. Our appreciation goes to the Rotary Club of Orrville and the Orrville Public Library Friends for supporting this program. We had a lot of fun last year gathering all your favorite book titles and seeing all your friendly faces!

Did You Know?
Tax season is here! The library will carry tax forms this year, but citizens are being encouraged to use electronic means for tax filing, so we may have fewer printed forms than in the past. However, you can find current forms on the IRS website. We are also happy to help you print the forms you need here at the library for our standard rate of 20 cents per page if you need one that we do not have readily available.
