Dr. Seuss Day
Wednesday, March 2: 9:00 a.m.- 6:00 p.m.

Join us as we celebrate Dr. Seuss' birthday and National Read Across America Day with Heartland Point! Any child-or parent with child-who checks out a Dr. Seuss book on March 2, or reads one at the library that day, will receive a coupon for a treat at Heartland Point. 

Beverly Lewis Book Signing
Friday, April 8: 10:00 a.m.

Award-winning, bestselling author Beverly Lewis will be at OPL on Friday, April 8 to promote her new novel, The Atonement!  Copies of her book may be purchased at the Christian Homestead Bookstore and brought to the author signing event at the library beginning at 10:00 a.m. Contact the Information Desk to register for this event: (330)-683-1065.

How-To Festival 
Saturday, April 2: 11:00 a.m. -2:00 p.m.

Bring the family and enjoy learning how to do something new at the library! From 3-D printing to crafting and building, there is something for everyone to learn! 

Mother Goose Live 
Tuesday, March 22: 10:00 a.m. or 6:00 p.m.

Join us as we welcome Mother Goose and her friends to the library for an interactive family program! Each family will receive a free book of nursery rhymes and will have the opportunity to enjoy Mother Goose and her friends reciting everyone's favorite Mother Goose rhymes!

Winter Reading Challenge
Now -Friday, March 18

Adults are welcome to participate in our Winter Reading Challenge. By reading at least 3 books, participants can enter to win a $25 Amazon gift card! You can also tag us in a Facebook or Instagram post every week and tell us what you are reading for a chance to win a digital DVD copy using the hashtag #OPLwinterchallenge. Spring Story Time
Now-Monday, April 18Join us for crafts, finger plays, games, songs, and stories! A range of story time slots are available for children 9 months to 5 years old. We also offer Art in the Afternoon, a special art program designed to encourage children grades K-2 to explore art and books. Class sizes are limited; contact the Children's Department at 330-683-1065 to register or follow this link to view a Spring Story time schedule.

Brick Builder Club
Saturday, March 5: 10:30-11:30 a.m.

Our Brick Builder Club invites kids ages 8-12 to bring a friend to imagine, create, and build with us. We'll provide the Legos, you provide the imagination! Registration is required for this free program; space is limited. Contact the Children's Department to register: (330)-683-1065. 

Book Club
Tuesday, March 15: 6:30 p.m.

Go Set a Watchman by Harper Lee is the Book Club's March read. Join us at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 15 to spend an evening with others who love books. Copies are available at the Circulation Desk. We hope to see you there!

Need help downloading free e-books, magazines, audio books, and more? Help is available to those with questions about the library's free e-media services. Contact the Information Desk at
330-683-1065 to register for a one-on-one help session.
 Bring your own Kindle, Nook, iPad, or other e-media-friendly device.

Color and Craft-a-thon
Thursday, March 24: 10:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m.

Children of all ages are invited to our Color and Craft-a-thon to color mandalas and create polar fleece pillows, puppets, artbots, and more spring-themed crafts! Children 8 and under must be accompanied by an adult; all supplies will be provided. Bring your friends and celebrate spring!

Cookbook Club 
Thursday, April 7: 6:00 p.m.

All are welcome to reserve a copy of April's cookbook, The Pioneer Woman Cooks: Dinnertime by Ree Drummond. Prepare a dish to share and bring it to the meeting on Thursday, April 7 at
6 p.m. Tableware will be provided; we hope to see you there!
