Mother's Day Hanging Basket Sale

Our Friends group will be holding their annual Mother's Day Hanging Basket Sale next weekend! Flower basket
choices will include begonias, fuchsias, ivy geraniums, lobelia, New Guinea impatiens, petunias, combination baskets, and Boston ferns. Flower baskets are $17 each and ferns are $20 each. Pre-sale orders will be available for pickup beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Friday.

Do you have a Kindle, Nook, iPad, or other eBook device and have questions on how to use it? Our technician will be available on Thursday, May 14 between the hours of 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. to help you find answers to those questions. Also, learn how you can borrow books and magazines from the library and download them to your device using your library card! To register, call us at 330-683-1065. Bring your own device or come play with one of ours.
We may be able to accommodate a limited number of walk-ins depending on how many people have registered in advance.

Bring a plant; take a plant! Come and go as you are able any time from 10:00 until noon and see what treasures await, and how you can give away starts of your own. Local Master Gardener Ann McPeek will be on hand to answer plant and flower questions.

Children entering kindergarten and a parent will enjoy an evening of FREE activities that will help children prepare for school. Each child will receive a packet containing:
- A picture book
- Kindergarten pencil & scissors
- Fun summer workbooks & learning games

Summer Reading Opening Day!
Saturday, May 30, 10:00 am - noon
Launch your summer fun with our Opening Day Festival! This annual celebration kicks off the
start of the Summer Reading Program. The theme for the children this year is Be A Super Reader @ the Library
and adults will enjoy their own program with the theme Escape the Ordinary
. There will be free cotton candy, popcorn, balloons, face art and games for the kids and sign-up bonuses with chances to win prizes for the adults. Costumed book characters will be on hand, so be sure to bring your camera. Also, there will be a police car, a fire truck, and a utility truck on site so children can get a close-up look at these vehicles.
Did You Know?
For many years, we have been offering Hold-That-Book services to our patrons. This program allows you to fill out a form selecting your favorite authors from a list. When any of those selected authors release new material, your name will automatically be placed on the holds list. Any adult with a CLEVNET library card is welcome to sign up.
