Cookbook Club
Thursday, June 2: 6:00 pm
 
Join the Cookbook Club for a picnic! Prepare a dish from your favorite library cookbook on picnics, outdoor eating, or grilling, or prepare your favorite family recipe. Tableware will be provided.


Opening Day: Summer Reading Program Kickoff
Saturday, June 4: 10:00 am- noon

Get your summer off to a fun start by attending our Opening Day Festival! This celebration kicks off the start of our summer reading program for children. This year's theme is "On Your Mark, Get Set, READ!"  There will be free cotton candy, popcorn, balloons, face art, and games. Costumed book characters will be available for children to meet and for photo opportunities. There will also be a police car, a fire truck, and a utility truck on site so children can take an up-close look at these vehicles.

 
Summer Story Times
Monday, June 13- Tuesday, August 2
 
Story times will be available this summer for children 9 months old through second grade.  Story times will be held every Monday June 13- August 2, excluding Monday, July 4. This summer's themes include frogs, rainbows, camping, bugs, summer, and the zoo! Contact the Children's Department to register beginning Wednesday, June 1: 330-683-1065.

 
Story Times Celebrate Fathers
Tuesday, May 7: 9:30am and 10:30 am
 
Dad, pops, papa: fathers have many names, but they are all special. Come to our Father's Day themed story time to share books and fun with others who love their dads! Sessions will be offered on Tuesday, June 7 at 9:30 am or 10:30 am. Contact the Children's Department to sign up today: 330-683-1065.
 

Brick Builder Club
Saturday, June 11: 10:30 am

Our Brick Builder Club invites kids ages 8-12 to bring a friend to imagine, create, and build with us. We'll provide the Legos, you provide the imagination! Registration is required for this free program and space is limited. Contact the Children's Department to register: 330-683-1065. 


Book Club
Tuesday, June 21: 6:30pm

Silver Linings Playbook by Matthew Quick is the Book Club's June read. Join us at 6:30pm on Tuesday, June 21 to spend an evening with others who love books. Copies are available at the Circulation Desk. We hope to see you there!


E-Media Help

Need help downloading free e-books, magazines, audio books, and more? Help is available to those with questions about the library's free e-media services. Contact the Information Desk at 330-683-1065 to register for a one-on-one help session. Bring your own Kindle, Nook, iPad, or other e-media-friendly device.

 
Teen Thursdays
Thursday, June 23 at 2:00 pm: Duct Tape Fun
Thursday, June 30 at 2:00 pm: T-Shirt Bag
Thursday, July 7 at 2:00 pm: Tie Dye

Teens grades 7-12 are invited to join us this summer for fun activities! Make anything out of duct tape, turn a t-shirt into a bag, or create a colorful tie dye shirt! Contact the Children's Department for more information: 330-683-1065.

YA Book Bingo
Now- Saturday, August 20

Teens grades 7-12 can play Book Bingo this summer and win gift cards and prizes! Stop by the Information Desk to start a Bingo card and start earning prizes for everything you read this summer, including summer reading assignments!
