Used Book Sale
Saturday, October 1: 10:00 am-2:00 pm

Don't miss the last day of our used book sale sponsored by the Orrville Public Library Friends group. This year the sale will be held in conjunction with the Orrville community yard sales. The Friends will use proceeds from the sale to support special projects and programs that the library could not otherwise afford. 


Doctor Who Day
Thursday, October 6: 9:00 am-8:00 pm

Stop by all day for Doctor Who activities, crafts, and family fun! We will have a life-size TARDIS for photos, trivia, and a TARDIS scavenger hunt. Costumes are encouraged!

Closed for Staff Day
Monday, October 10

We will be closed all day on Monday, October 10 for staff training and development. Our e-library is always open and can be used to download new books, audio books, and video with no late fees! 

 
iForce Hiring Event
Tuesday, October 11: 11 am- 2 pm

Job seekers are invited to stop by the library to learn about open positions and opportunities available with iForce! We will also offer information on free library resources available to job seekers. 


Book Club
Tuesday, October 18: 6:30 pm

Now is a perfect time to try something new and join OPL's Book Club! Our first book for the 2016-2017 season is The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry by Gabrielle Zevin. Pick up your copy today at the Circulation Desk and join us on Tuesday, October 18 at 6:30 pm.

 
Cupcake Fun
Friday, October 21: 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm

Join us to decorate and eat cupcakes! Children grades K-2 are invited to join us at 1:00 pm; grades 3-6 are welcome to join us at 3:00 pm. Space is limited and registration will begin on September 30.


Fall Story Times
Now through Thursday November 17

A variety of days and times are offered for children ages 9 months to second grade. Children will be introduced to wonderful stories, finger plays, songs, games, and age-appropriate crafts. Give your child a head start in language-related activities and social interaction with peers. A special art program, Art in the Afternoon, is designed for children in kindergarten, first, and second grade to explore art and books. Story times have already begun and will end on November 17. Trick or Treat at the Library
Friday, October 28: 9:00 am- 5:30 pm

Join us for a safe and fun trick-or-treat experience! Bring the whole family and wear your Halloween costumes to the library on Friday, October 28! We will pass out candy in all four of our library's departments.
 

Cookbook Club
Thursday, November 3: 6:00 pm

All adults are welcome to join the Cookbook Club! Stop by the Circulation Desk to pick up a copy of our next cookbook, Brunch @ Bobby's by Bobby Flay. Bring your favorite dish to share at our meeting at 6 pm on Thursday, November 3. Tableware will be provided.
