Happy Easter!

Celebrate!  All yoga classes and treatments continue throughout this and next week for the whole of the school holidays. There is a class on Saturday, 4/4, not on Good Friday nor Easter Monday, all other classes as per normal timetable.  Enjoy time with yourself and your loved ones.  Have a Happy Easter, hope it will be a sunny & sweet one.

Our Singing Bowl meditation and Yin yoga class held last Sunday was fully booked and proved a wonderful transition from Summer to Autumn.  For many it was an introduction to meditation and sound healing. Relaxed bodies and smiling faces afterwards wondered out into the autumn sunshine.  Your chance to experience it again or for the first time will be when Melissa of YogaSound returns on 14th June.  See below for how to book & more info.

Here is a recording of the Freedom invocation we chant at the end of class and a short warrior sequence for your home yoga practice, or simply to entertain you. Be adventurous with your own affirmations here.

As you know, I was asked to say goodbye to one of my teachers this week, as the doors of The Yoga Room in Mornington will close. This has pushed me to practice the art of non-attachment, non-grasping or aparigraha, one of the yamas of yoga philosophy. See group photo below for more on that.

Enjoy the school holidays and a happy, chocolatey Easter.  See you on the mat.

Sweet surrender,
Bettina x

Singing Bowl Meditation in June

Our next Singing Bowl Meditation with Melissa will be held on Sunday, 14th June 2015.  We will again have a morning and afternoon session.  Please put the date in your diary and let me know via return email, or text or eye to eye in class that you are attending.  These events are heavenly and book out quickly. More photos and footage of our last one here.

Farewell to a teacher

Oh dear, in the past week I had the opportunity to practice one of the yamas of yoga philosophy, the moral suggestions as to how to behave in the outside world - aparigraha, or the art of non-attachment, as I say goodbye to one of my very influential teachers, Sean Kirke. The  practice of Ashtanga yoga has tought me a lot both mentally & physically and I am forever grateful to Sean and his wife Karen for their teachings on the Peninsula for almost 5 years.  More photos and sentiments here.

Happy Easter!

No classes on Good Friday nor Easter Monday.

All other classes continue as per our normal timetable.  Perhaps you can get an extra class in if you are on holidays. Or perhaps your teenage child would like to come to class with you. Or simply have yourself a wellbeing treatment like massage, reflexology or Hahnemann Healing. I am here for you and you know you do deserve it.  Check timetable here.
