Happy Halloween TARTans!
Tonight families all around spend some quality time checking out the neighborhoods, costumes and decorations that light up the night. My family has the distinct pleasure of living in central Traverse City, enjoying what feels like the Halloween epicenter. While Bill loves to get dressed up and head out with the kids to wander the neighborhood, I tend to enjoy hanging out with friends and watching the parade of kids at the door admiring their costumes and appreciating their smiles as they get their treats. When everybody comes back home and shares their stories of the scariest, funniest, silliest costumes we make sure there's some quantity candy control (1 for you, 2 Snickers for me). What I think I love most is that for one night, everybody's out walking and enjoying time with neighbors and strangers alike. It makes me hopeful we can keep the Halloween "spirit" last a little longer.

Happy Trails,
Julie Clark, Executive Director
