The complete Boardman Lake Loop Trail is open! From the sincere bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone that came together to close this loop. From founders to funders, enthusiasts to engineers and leadership at all levels - public, private, local, and state. Today we celebrate the tireless efforts and passionate persistence of an entire community of dreamers and doers. We are grateful for the long time commitment and leadership of the City of Traverse City, Garfield Township, Grand Traverse County, and the Grand Traverse County Brownfield Redevelopment Authority who helped see this loop closed. We are grateful to have worked alongside staff and elected officials from these agencies to make this day a reality. We could not be more thrilled to have the trail open before the holiday weekend and at the beginning of a beautiful summer season. We can't wait for the experiences you'll share with friends, family or during time to yourself on this beautiful new trail. And while the trail is officially open, there's still more to come. You'll see more work along the way as Team Elmer's completes the finishing touches like landscaping, signage, benches and more special elements and amenities. They just couldn't keep the public waiting! So as you make your way around watch for those improvements and we'll all come together in August for one heck of a celebration to commemorate this community connection.
