Another year is drawing to a close, and with it, the cold weather has returned. The office has been very hectic lately, so the newsletter will return properly soon - but here's a taste of some of what's to come.  Remember to make those deadlines, if something pertains to you!

The Sea Farmer - 2021 Issue Release!
At long last, the 2021 edition of The Sea Farmer magazine is out! Reflecting the theme of aquaculture's future, this year's magazine has a brand new look and feel. All members of the AANS should have been sent a copy, but if you know someone who would like to receive one, please reach out to outreach@seafarmers.ca to see about mailing some to your office.

2022 Oyster Cafe
The Canadian Oyster Export Café is coming back for another year... virtually! Sign up for another session of top tier networking with buyers in New York City and intriguing events over the B2B platform.

Remember that oyster farmers who want to participate will need to be export ready with promotional materials available for use by December 17, 2021 - if that's you, you can use the form accessible with the button below to sign up. Keep an eye on the official Facebook page for future updates.

Call for Proposals
Calling all researchers! This is a friendly reminder that the Aquaculture Collaborative Research and Development Program (ACRDP) is issuing a call for proposals for the 2022-2023 fiscal year with a submission deadline of December 20, 2021

2022 Student Awards & Scholarship
The approach of the conference means the return of our supports for students! The Student Awards and Student Scholarship are returning again in 2022, in time with the joint NSDFA Minister's & Seafarmer's Conference 2022. During the conference, one student will be offered a scholarship valued at $1000 to continue their aquaculture studies, as well as awards for the best poster and oral presentation from students presenting their work at the conference.
