Face to Face Classes held in West Virginia


The Centre's Graduate program with the University of Texas (Rio Grande Valley) took a further step forward in October 2016 with the first face-to-face classes being delivered at the US Customs and Border Protection Facility at Harper's Ferry, West Virginia.

ESAMI Graduation

A graduation ceremony was held in Arusha, Tanzania by the East and Southern African Management Institute (ESAMI) on 19 November 2016. CCES, which jointly runs the MBA (Customs) program, was represented by CSU lecturer Magdalena Nangolo from Windhoek, Namibia.

Time Release Study in Solomon Islands

The Centre for Customs and Excise Studies has conducted a Time Release Study at the Port of Honiara in the Solomons Islands under the auspices of the Australian Government’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT). The Study is designed to measure the average time it takes for sea cargo to be released after it arrives in Honiara. Data from the study will help identify bottlenecks and reduce clearance times and so help trade facilitation efforts in the Island to match those of other leading Pacific Island countries, and at the same time meet international standards.

CCES Christmas Shutdown Period

The CCES Office will be closed from Thursday 22nd December 2016 thru to Tuesday 3rd January 2017 inclusive. We will re-open on Wednesday 4th January 2017.



As 2016 comes to an end, and all students have now finished their studies, we would like to thank everyone who has studied with us, and supported us in 2016.
