Exciting bill update- I will be introducing my third bill to the Energy & Environment committee this Thursday April 8th. HB21-1238, named “Modernize Gas Utility Demand-side Management Programs” focuses on energy efficiency and reduces consumer energy costs, helping Colorado reach its Greenhouse Gas reduction goals. Stay tuned on my Facebook and Twitter pages for more updates tomorrow on how the introduction of this bill went.
One of my other bills HB21-1009 “Update Division Function & Local Development”, has passed through the House and was introduced in the Senate and assigned to the Local Government committee.
The final bill that I have introduced so far HB21-1018 “Adoptive Parents Payments To Outside Providers” has passed through the House and was introduced in the Senate and assigned to the Health & Human Services committee.
These bills will have many positive impacts on the lives of Coloradans, so I look forward to seeing them through the legislative process to the end goal of the Governor signing them into law.
Join me, Congressman Joe Neguse, and Senator Sonya Jaquez Lewis for a special East Boulder County town hall Wednesday April 28th at 6pm. We will be discussing our bills, sharing our thoughts on new legislation, answering questions from our constituents. It is not often that we get a federal perspective during our town halls so take advantage of this special opportunity and don't forget to register for this informative event!
