Female legislators in the 2021 Colorado Legislature wearing red on International Women's Day.

On Monday, March 8 we celebrated International Women’s Day. Diversity in government is vital in making decisions that benefit all demographics, which is why I am so proud to stand with the strong group of legislators pictured above.

A quick update on bills below.

My bill HB21-1018: Adoptive Parents Payments to Outside Providers passed through third reading in the House today, meaning it has officially passed in the House and will move onto first reading in the Senate!
My bill HB21-1009: Update Division of Housing Function & Local Development passed through third reading in the House on Friday 3/5 and will now move onto first reading in the Senate as well!
I voted YES on HB21-1161 (which I was an early cosponsor on) which provides CMAS relief for students in the 2020-21 school year. Education was one of my main campaign values and through the passage of this bill, we can put our students and their learning first.
I voted YES on HB21-1106 which requires that firearms be responsibly and securely stored when they are not in use to prevent access by unsupervised juveniles and other unauthorized users. The safety of our children and other members of our community is extremely important to me and I believe this bill can save countless lives.
