The SUD & MAT program counselor position is member of the Behavioral Health team and MAT program providing direct patient care. The direct patient care responsibilities include providing evaluation and treatment of clients who may have a substance use disorder. Utilizing personal interviews, psychological assessment, ASAM and other evaluation tools. The SUD counselor will work closely with medical providers, behavioral health staff, case managers, community health workers, community agencies and others to ensure integration of services within the clinic and the community. The counselor may provide urgent interventions, evaluations and ongoing individual or group therapy services. The counselor will work closely with MAT Care Coordinator and the Perinatal SUD Coordinator as a wraparound team. This position requires the individual be able to work well in a fast-paced environment, have the ability to work well independently as well as communicating effectively with the medical professionals.

Provide behavioral health consultation to children, adolescents, adults, and families in an integrated Federal Qualified Health Center setting.  Provide assessments and interventions, comprehensive intake evaluations, and short-term therapy that address the medical, emotional, and social needs of individuals as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Work effectively with integrated team-members to co-manage care of patient panel. Center for New Beginnings, Littleton, NH 
Substance Abuse Counselor 

Education: Masters or Doctoral Degree

GENERAL SUMMARY:
Provides psychotherapy and related services to the Center for New Beginnings’ clients.

KEY RELATIONSHIPS:
Works with other members of the clinical staff to coordinate the care of mutual clients or family members.

Reports to Executive Director.

Provides information to office staff to ensure accurate billing for services, scheduling, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimal requirements include valid NH licensure or licensed-eligible as an addiction counselor, clinical social worker, mental health counselor, or clinical psychologist (LICSW, LCMHC or LPC, MLADC/LADC)

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS:
Performs psychological services within the scope licensed by the New Hampshire Board of Mental Health Practice for the clinician’s discipline, which includes but not limited to:

 1.  Conducting face-to-face intake evaluations
 2.  Establishing and implementing treatment care plans

 3.  Proactively managing content and frequency of future visits

 4.  Following up as needed with client calls

 5.  Discharging or transferring care as indicated, etc.

 • Documents session notes or other services to support the level of billing and/or need for additional services as clinically indicated.

 • Coordination of care with other clinicians and communicating with office personnel as needed to ensure continuity of the Center’s services.

Counseling Associates of New London
Intern & Candidate Individual Supervisor - Psychology
Counseling Associates provides a robust training program for emerging professionals, including graduate interns and candidates for licensure. The primary supervisor plays a pivotal role in this program in collaboration with the Intern Program Director and Candidate Coordinator. In addition to one hour weekly individual supervision, trainees participate in weekly Intern/Candidate Meetings, weekly Co-Occurring Program Meetings, site peer consultation (as available), and specialty interest consultation. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support onboarding of Supervisee 
  • Provide weekly direct individual hour supervision 
  • Develop Learning/Supervision Agreement and goals in collaboration with the Supervisee
  • Instruct Supervisee on competencies, best practices, clinical approaches, and professional issues
  • Support Supervisee in development of professional identity
  • Regularly review Supervisee’s caseload
  • Review, provide feedback and co-sign Supervisee’s documentation
  • Evaluate Supervisee’s practice throughout program term both verbally and in writing 
  • Commitment to the Supervisee’s program term
  • Participate in low-demand on-call rotation (approximately one week per year)
  • Participate in monthly Training Program meeting

Practicum/Intern Supervisors

  • Ensure knowledge and familiarity with the institution’s field internship policies and procedures
  • Communicate with institution’s field leadership as needed and during scheduled meeting times
  • Participate in institution-required meetings and trainings
  • (Social Work Interns only) Provide feedback on Supervisee’s submitted process recordings

Hours: This position is full time, Monday-Friday with the flexibility to participate in a monthly on-call rotation.

Compensation: $65k-85k annually dependent on experience and ability to supervise other LICSW's.  $7,500 sign on bonus.
