As we wrap up our month-long focus on building Interference Archive's sustainer base, we wanted to take a moment to say thank you for your continued and growing support. This was our first time focusing on a fundraising drive like this; we learned a lot, and our community's response to our request for support was incredibly positive. Thank you!
 Interference Archive strives to cover its operational costs by funding from the community that believes in and uses our space. This comes from three main channels: recurring sustainers who sign up to donate a specific amount each months; donors who send a specific amount a one-time contribution (and often get back in touch a year later to repeat their gift!); and donations from classes that visit from local higher education institutions.
As we focused on building our base of recurring sustainers, we saw this monthly income rise by 14%, or almost $140 per month. At the same time, we received over $2100 in one-time donations. Your generosity is amazing and makes it so much easier to do what we're doing!
 While we'll continue to develop our community of donating sustainers to cover our operating costs, we've also begun to pursue grant funding for our exhibition and event series. In 2014 we were grateful to receive exhibition funding from the Brooklyn Arts Council Community Arts Fund, and from the AJ Muste Social Justice Fund. In 2015, we received money again from the Brooklyn Arts Council for the exhibition We Won't Move: Tenants Organize in New York City. We are also thrilled to have recently been awarded a grant from the Puffin Foundation, to support exhibition programming through the rest of 2015.
